Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, or PCIT, is an evidence-based treatment that helps strengthen the parent-child relationship while improving communication and behavior-management skills. It may be helpful for young children experiencing disruptive behaviors, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, or relationship challenges.

Suitability for PCIT is determined through an initial clinical assessment.

Family reunification treatment may be available for families experiencing separation, high-conflict divorce, disrupted relationships, or other complex circumstances. Because every situation is different, the appropriate service depends on the family’s needs, legal circumstances, clinician availability, and whether treatment can be provided ethically and effectively.

Yes. The evaluation process is designed to provide practical recommendations based on the findings. Recommendations may relate to therapy, school accommodations, executive function support, parenting strategies, medical consultation, or additional services.

The specific recommendations depend on the assessment results and the child’s individual needs.

Therapy SoCal is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance companies directly. Some insurance plans may reimburse clients for a portion of out-of-network services.

When appropriate, Therapy SoCal can provide documentation that clients may submit to their insurance company. Families should confirm their out-of-network benefits directly with their insurer before beginning services.

Fees vary depending on the clinician, appointment type, and service requested. Comprehensive psychological evaluations are generally charged separately from therapy services.

Please review the current pricing on the Location and Fees page or contact the practice before scheduling, as fees may change.
