Empirically proven treatments is paced carefully and tailored to each person’s history, development, readiness, and emotional needs.

Depending on the client and clinician, treatment may include EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, attachment-focused interventions, Seeking Safety, and other evidence-based or trauma-informed approaches.

A clinician will recommend an approach after learning about the client’s symptoms, experiences, goals, and preferences.

Yes. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is one of the trauma treatment approaches available through Therapy SoCal. It may help suitable clients process distressing memories and reduce trauma-related symptoms. The clinician will first determine whether EMDR is appropriate and explain how it may fit into the overall treatment plan.

Yes. Exposure and Response Prevention, commonly called ERP, may be used to help children, teens, or adults experiencing OCD. ERP involves gradually confronting feared situations while learning to reduce compulsive responses.

Treatment is planned collaboratively and progresses at an appropriate, manageable pace.

Yes. Therapy SoCal provides parenting support for caregivers managing behavioral challenges, emotional concerns, ADHD, anxiety, OCD, trauma, adoption, foster care, and other family needs.

Co-parenting support may also be available for families navigating separation, divorce, or high-conflict family situations.
